City of Vernon

The City of Vernon is committed to removing barriers to low-carbon, affordable transportation options for residents. Vernon’s Climate Action Plan provides a specific goal to make active transportation the first choice to move around Vernon, which is also supported by the City’s Master Transportation Plan. Helping to reduce the purchase price through the e-bike rebate program is one step towards achieving this goal.

City of Kelowna

The City of Kelowna recognizes the importance of sustainable transportation in meeting our climate action targets. Our Transportation Master Plan envisions Kelowna as a city that is connected by diverse transportation options that help us transition from our car-centric culture. Further, one of the key drivers of the Climate Resilient Kelowna Strategy is to reduce reliance on vehicles by enabling active modes. The shift to e-mobility, including e-bikes, is a big part of the envisioned sustainable transportation system, and making e-bikes more accessible to our residents through the e-bike rebate program is one way we are supporting that shift.
